Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 19 April 2026

These terms govern your relationship with ALJ-Tech when you engage our services or use our website. By working with us, you agree to the terms below.

1. About us

ALJ-Tech is a web development and design agency operating from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Any reference to "we", "our", or "us" means ALJ-Tech. Any reference to "you" or "your" means the client or website visitor.

2. Scope of services

We provide Shopify development, custom web development, branding, and digital marketing services as detailed in individual project proposals or statements of work. Any service outside the agreed scope is considered an addition and may be quoted separately.

3. Quotes and proposals

All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Proposals become binding once accepted in writing (email is sufficient) and an initial deposit has been received.

4. Payment terms

5. Client responsibilities

You agree to provide timely feedback, content, access, and approvals required to deliver the project. Delays caused by late responses may shift the timeline and are not our responsibility.

6. Revisions

Each project includes a reasonable number of revision rounds as specified in the proposal. Additional revisions beyond this scope will be billed at our standard hourly rate.

7. Intellectual property

Upon full payment, all deliverables created specifically for you (designs, code, copy) become your property. ALJ-Tech retains ownership of any pre-existing tools, frameworks, or components used in the work, as well as the right to showcase the project in our portfolio.

8. Third-party services

Your project may rely on third-party platforms (e.g. Shopify, hosting providers, payment gateways). Their fees, terms, and performance are separate from our engagement and are your responsibility.

9. Warranties & support

We take care to deliver quality work. Following launch, we offer a 30-day bug-fix window for defects in our deliverables. Beyond that, ongoing maintenance is available under a separate support agreement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ALJ-Tech is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost profits, data, or business interruption). Our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees paid for the project giving rise to the claim.

11. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any non-public information shared during the engagement, except where disclosure is required by law.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement with written notice. You remain responsible for fees for work completed up to the termination date. Deposits are non-refundable.

13. Website use

You may not use our website to violate any law, infringe third-party rights, or distribute malicious content. We may suspend or restrict access at our discretion.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of NSW.

15. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
